Metronomefb, E-paper article
My first ever LWN contribution, which was about supporting e-paper is now free. I noticed that the article has also gotten picked up by LinuxWorld, ComputerWorld.au, and CIO.au . This is all very exciting for me because I think it means my written English is improving. I hope to try to take on more writing opportunities because it's really quite relaxing once one gets into the flow of things.
The picture above is dillo remote to Xfbdev on metronomefb and displaying the kernel.org frontpage. As you can tell, I'm quite excited about this. I've posted a bunch of metronomefb pictures here. I find that 3-bit grayscale with dithering does a pretty good job at reproducing a wide range of images. There's still some weird corruption with images displayed through dillo which I haven't figured out yet. I've posted updated metronomefb source here.
