LWN article, foss.in

I've contributed an article to LWN about supporting electronic paper. Basically, I've tried to write about the underlying technologies and some of the software issues that I've been trying to solve. I think now is a very exciting time in this area, not only because the display technology is changing so rapidly but also because so many mainstream products are starting to show up like Sony's PRS-505, Kindle and others. I hope people will find the article and the code interesting and useful.

Hari
has done it again. His posters for foss.in/2007, just like the Matrix themed poster back in 2005, are stellar. Check out this set.

Also, if you're traveling to Bangalore and haven't been around South India before, I'd like to mention a bunch of great places to visit that are close by. Hampi, where every stone has a tale to tell, Thanjavur, our Cholan temple city. If you're a history buff, you might want to look for Srirangapatna. It has both ancient and more modern historical interest because of the battle of Tipu and Wellington/Wellesley (the latter being some fella who was somewhat involved in something called Waterloo). There are many other places to visit. My main suggestion is to avoid the tourist spots and try to visit more interesting places where you'll get a real local flavor.
