portalinks epaper
It looks like there's quite a few new WinCE based E-paper devices. Here's a video of a device called portalinks and the author is saying it supports 16 graylevels. This suggests that he/she is using something other than Vizplex media. I want one of that! :-)
The other Win CE devices that I've noticed are MedTab, and Netronix EB-300[pdf]. It is interesting to see that MedTab are running Internet Explorer on Win CE 5.0. I really need to find some Win CE people and understand how epaper stuff works on that platform. They must have an equivalent abstraction that allows unmodified apps to work without being affected by display latencies.
metronomefb and the defio bugfix are in 25-rc7, earlier than expected because of my embarrassing bug in the original defio implementation. Anyway, the next step is that I need to figure out how to make defio or an approximation of defio work on a system without MMU. It seems pretty hard to think about.
